Background

The Innis Arden Club (“TIAC”) has adopted the following Acceptable Use Policy to govern its use of TIAC-sponsored technologies.

Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) outlines the rules and guidelines that govern the use of online services by members of the Homeowners Association (HOA), both adults and minors. The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all members use online services in a responsible and appropriate manner, and to protect the interests of the HOA and its members. The scope of this policy is limited to online services used by the HOA for its own activities and services, and excludes non-HOA activities and non-HOA services. Online services covered under this policy include, but are not limited to, websites, email, social media, and messaging platforms. By using these online services, members agree to abide by the rules and guidelines outlined in this policy. Failure to comply with this policy may result in penalties or the suspension of online service privileges.

Acceptable Use Policy

Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) is part of our Terms and Conditions (“Legal Terms”) and should therefore be read alongside our main Legal Terms: [Legal Terms URL]. If you do not agree with these Legal Terms, please refrain from using our Services. Your continued use of our Services implies acceptance of these Legal Terms.

Please carefully review this Policy which applies to any and all:

  1. uses of our Services (as defined in “Legal Terms”)

We are The Innis Arden Club, doing business as Innis Arden (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a company registered in King County at PO Box 60038, Richmond Beach, WA 98160. We operate the website http://www.innisarden.org (the “Site”), as well as any other related products and services that refer or link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”).

Use of the Services

When you use the Services, you warrant that you will comply with this Policy and all applicable laws.

You also acknowledge that you may not:

  • Systematically retrieve data or content from the Services to create or compile a collection, database, or directory without written permission.
  • Make unauthorized use of the Services, including collecting users' emails or creating accounts under false pretenses.
  • Circumvent security features or restrict the use of Content.
  • Trick or defraud users.
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Services.
  • Harass or impersonate others.
  • Use the Services to compete with us or for commercial enterprise.
  • Upload viruses, excessive capital letters, or spam.
  • Use tracking mechanisms like web bugs or cookies in a malicious way.
  • Launch spiders, scrapers, or unauthorized scripts.
  • Use the Services in violation of applicable laws.

If you subscribe to our Services, you also agree not to:

  • Reconstruct or discover source code or algorithms.
  • Provide the Services to third parties.

Prohibited Activities

Includes but is not limited to:

Contributions

“Contribution” means:

  • Any materials you provide to the Club.

You warrant that:

  • You own or have rights to your Contributions.
  • Contributions comply with laws and do not infringe third-party rights.
  • You have necessary consents for identifiable persons in media.

You agree not to post Contributions that:

  • Violate laws or obligations.
  • Are defamatory, false, obscene, hateful, or harassing.
  • Include child exploitation or solicit minors.
  • Promote violence, discrimination, terrorism.
  • Include unsolicited advertising.
  • Misrepresent your identity or association.

User Responsibilities

  • Comply with laws.
  • Avoid disruption or harm.
  • Respect others' rights and privacy.
  • Maintain secure account practices.
  • Report security issues or policy violations.
  • Do not misuse services for unauthorized or abusive purposes.

Reviews and Ratings

If you submit reviews, you agree:

  • You have firsthand experience.
  • Reviews are true and unaffiliated with competitors.
  • No legal conclusions or misleading statements.

Reporting a Breach

If you believe a Contribution breaches this Policy, contact: communications@innisarden.org

We will determine, at our sole discretion, if there is a breach.

Consequences of Breaching this Policy

  • Warning
  • Temporary Suspension
  • Permanent Suspension
  • Legal Action
  • Law Enforcement Notification

We reserve the right to take any appropriate action.

Complaints and Removal of Legitimate Content

If content was mistakenly removed, contact us for a prompt review.

  • Suspend access
  • Notify authorities
  • Take legal action
